This one-story dental office building is composed of contemporary and traditional elements and forms. The intent was to blend the building design with the surrounding residential neighborhood, but at the same time creating a design that blended those contemporary and traditional styles. The site offered unique challenges due to its small land area and sloping topography. The building size is diminished by providing some of the building area within the roof and by “day light” basement that is not seen from the street. The interior design emphasizes efficient work flow for staff, and use of day lighting creates comfortable and emerging interior spaces.
