The Woodburn campus was a multi-phase redevelopment project. The college was faced with the option of building at a new location or expanding and redeveloping at its existing location in the historic downtown district. The college’s commitment to the downtown district drove the design style of the campus. The exterior massing of the building was articulated to lessen the impact of the building size and to project the image of multiple buildings similar to the nearby main street storefronts. Arched windows and brick detailing reminiscent of the early 1900’s reinforce the image and context of the downtown historical district. The interior included admin. offices, multi-use classroom, cpu labs, public common area, and “partner space” for State and community-based programs.
